Noe's 8th graders on the cross country team

This is a new column for the Cougar Communal. Every week we will interview a club or sport’s sponsor/coach. This week we are interviewing Ms. Ames and Ms. Sullivan, the coaches of Noe’s Cross Country team.

1. How has the team’s performance been so far this season?

It’s been an awesome season; we have won 13 trophies, the most ever.

2.Is there anything the team needs to do to improve?

No, they have put in the work, and it has played off because the times have been dropping.

3.What has been the largest challenge this season?

The numbers. It is hard to manage all 70 athletes when I am used to dealing with much smaller numbers.

4. What are your hopes for next season?

Decrease the numbers (times) of our athletes and make sure they still enjoy running. That is my main goal as a middle school coach.

5.What is your favorite sport to watch?

Cross Country.
