We say goodbye to Noe field hockey but the family we made will last forever.

On Monday October 10th, 2016, Noe Middle School’s field hockey teams battled for a chance of the championship game on the cougar field. Noe Red took on Our Lady of Lourdes in a tough game at 5:00 pm on a cool, sunny fall day. Noe Black took on the Meyzeek bears at 6:15 following the red team’s game. The nerves of our players filled our body’s all day, in the past two years both 8th grade teams made it to the championship game, so is it our turn?

Unfortunately, both teams played a hard fight but the results were not in favor. It was still a great night to be a cougar because of all the pride and love we have for our teammates. Overall, the girls on both teams grew so much over these three years as field hockey players, as friends, and as a family. Each season we won more and more games and developed together as a team. Field hockey is more than just a sport; field hockey is an interaction with the people you love.

When we realized this would be the end of our middle school field hockey season the tears filled our eyes. Both teams had played their hearts out that night and It was truly a travesty to see our great records go down the drain.

Despite the killing outcome both teams felt accomplished after everything they learned in Noe field hockey about sportsmanship and cooperation. Noe field hockey will be forever remembered with the wonderful young women it shaped over the years.
